For her first solo exhibition in France, Natalia Rolón presents the video In your own words. Using the same drawings techniques than usually in her painting practice, she transposes them here in the form of a 2D animation in black and white.

The series of poems written by Marion Vasseur Raluy and read by Liv Schulman and Arthur Dokhan at the opening is inspired by male characters crossed in the art world. On the edge of fiction and reality, these characters deliberately want to be superficial. They embody stereotypical figures, male objects and muses. They are kneaded with uncertainty and anguish and crossed by contradictory emotions.

It is
When after having worked for too long
Switching from
French to English
That I renew my union with my writings
It is like I need to be totally sucked up by emptiness so that my creativity could come back Shot 2019-02-14 at 00_41_00.png Shot 2019-02-14 at 00_39_50.png Shot 2019-02-14 at 00_40_29.png Shot 2019-02-14 at 00_41_22.png Shot 2019-02-14 at 00_39_00.png
